blackbuck

One of the most visited national parks in India, Blackbuck National Park (Gujarat) lies in the vicinity of the Arabian Sea. An open grassland, the park is a safe sanctuary for blackbuck antelope and nilgai. In the south of the park, a small wetland attracts innumerable species of birds, including ducks, flamingoes, pelicans, coots, waders, painted storks and white storks, and sarus cranes. The Park is world famous as a roosting site for Harriers from Central Europe.
